I picked up a demo from these guys nearly 2 years ago and right away was drawn to the traditional vibe of the first gen black/speed metal crossover element with its raw roots in pure metal integrity. Don't get me wrong, I love black metal in all of its various forms and incarnations, but how can I ever forget the first time I ever heard Hellhammer, Venom, or Darkthrone? Or mail ordering all those rad demo tapes out of Europe and coming across super scores from time to time of bands that were yet unheard of? Well, I want to introduce you to a group of four young dudes that have powerfully kept this dark force alive with profound integrity, and are sure to be a treat for fans of these early years of dark, etheric metal...THRONE OF BELIAL!!

Gavin (drums), Tony (bass), Devin (guitars), and Alex (guitars/vocals) all hail from Lakewood, Colorado, and bring pure, heavy, dark metal smashing into your face! Fire and brimstone are alive here!

Oh, and I mentioned that demo I picked up, but THRONE OF BELIAL have now also released their debut full length CD, "To The Death", which of course, I had to pick up. We even did the old school cash in an envelope exchange! Boy, that took me back. Encased in a basic jewel case, and featuring the photography of Russel Gluch, this 11 track CD was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jeff Alexis at Firestorm Studios and takes the listener on an audible journey into the heart of THRONE OF BELIAL's path through "the Black Flame of Liberation that through the reaping of the forbidden fruits of Gnosis will liberate all..."

These guys have already been making a profound name for themselves within their own region, and there has been talk of taking their message out on the road, which will surely arouse new fans wherever the road may lead them. But, hey, don't take my word for it, get your copy of "To The Death" from them yourselves by contacting them on Facebook, and like the page so you can hear for yourself this brutal battery of purely grim metal and keep posted on dates they may be heading to your area. You don't want to miss this.
