I remember reading about these guys in Maximum Rock'N'Roll back in the old days and reading about how good they were, but never heard their stuff until now. This is the 27th anniversary release of this recording by this band originally from Philadelphia and relocated to New York. This has ten tracks and they did a great job with the sound which is very clear.

This band is mostly a no-wave, guitar noise fest with a lot of dissonance and guitar wailing all over it, with vocals that are all over the place, from screams to strained, but kind of cool at the same time. This reminds me a lot of Sonic Youth from back then, and what Black Flag was doing with the jazzy guitar and long songs.

The songs are a bit samey at times and the song "Rape", goes on far too long. This is a good release for the history of the scene at the time and I will play it again, but not as often as other albums that I have. If you are a fan of experimental no-wave noise, this is a good purchase to grab.
