Not too long ago, we reviewed Italian heritage metal outfit Voodoo Highway's debut album "Broken Uncle's Inn" and apparently people thought that album rocked as much as we did, cause they sold out every single one of those bad boys, and according to sources, they are going to do another Edition with bonus material added to meet the demand. Also, be prepared, cause if you liked that album, you will be pleased to know that they will be hitting the studio in January of 2012 to start work on the follow up! Way to go guys!

The Dominican Republic is known for its highly conservative culture and not it's death metal, but one of the local bands from there has just signed a deal with Dark Canvas Records to produce and distribute their album. Archaios, who has been described as a band who mixes both traditional and modern death metal styles from the bands who influenced them like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel and In Flames has been around since '94 but due to the lack of support from few outside their own nation, have just now seen the opportunity to break onto the international scene. Their Album, "The Distant" was recorded and produced by the band in their hometown of Santo Domingo and was mixed and mastered in Illinois by Kanky Lora who has worked with bands such as Straight Line Stitch, Cavalera Conspiracy and Mark Rizzo Band. You can have a listen to some tracks from the album on their Myspace page.
